Over the course of two years, program participants will be able to receive compensation for actual, documented expenses — however, the amount cannot exceed 70 thousand hryvnias. The money will be paid once, provided that the driver has not previously received similar support from the state, regional treasury, or other sources.
The idea behind the initiative is to introduce an effective tool for helping veterans and people with disabilities due to the war who use cars. It is expected that the program will improve their mobility, promote social integration, facilitate job search, and overall help realize the right to independent living.
The launch of the experimental project was approved upon the submission of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the relevant procedure for its implementation.
