On his Facebook page, he reported that the new law will allow for more precise monitoring of compliance with traffic rules and reduce the number of traffic police officers on highways. "As the president of the Automobile Federation of Ukraine, I am pleased that our country is adopting the experience of other states," stated Yanukovych Jr.

He also noted that "there are many aspects that need improvement," pointing, for example, to the process of sending "letters of happiness," which, in his opinion, requires adjustment. Overall, in his assessment, the implementation of this system will make drivers more disciplined.

It should be added that, according to rumors, the head of state Viktor Yanukovych has already signed the controversial documents that the Verkhovna Rada approved on January 16.

As previously reported, the day before, the parliament approved several laws, including the one concerning the recording of traffic violations using cameras.
