As Motor1 reports, the event organizers hoped until the last moment to hold the tuning show and prepared a whole range of precautionary measures. The vice president of the association responsible for organizing the exhibition, Tom Gattuso, emphasized that the spacious festival venue would allow visitors to maintain the necessary distance. However, in the end, it was decided to cancel SEMA 2020.

"The organizers and industry representatives made every effort to hold the SEMA exhibition in November, but the growing uncertainty made it impossible to hold the event," the statement of the tuning show organizers says.

The reason for the unexpected cancellation of the festival was likely the so-called "second wave" of the coronavirus. In Clark County, where Las Vegas is located, from 800 to 1000 new cases of infection are registered daily. The resumption of Las Vegas casinos and hotels could also aggravate the situation with the incidence.
