The new 2026 Ferrari Luce was sold for $40 million at RM Sotheby's auction in Monterey. The car, designated Chassis 0, is the first production chassis of the Luce program and was created in a personalized Tailor Made configuration. RM Sotheby's

Ferrari Luce received a unique pearlescent finish
The car's body is painted in a specially developed shade called Madreperla Semi-Gloss. Thanks to a special pigment, the surface changes reflections from green to purple depending on the angle and intensity of lighting.The interior is upholstered in metallic Le Mans leather in Perla color, made from selected Swiss hides. Secondary elements are for the first time executed in Grigio Corvara shade instead of traditional black.Specially for this example, the following were prepared:
- original wheel rims;
- individual brake calipers;
- Ferrari emblems on an optically white background;
- a plaque with the designation Chassis 0.
The Ferrari auction brought $40 million for educational programs
Ferrari will transfer all proceeds from the sale to its charitable foundation. The money is planned to be directed to future educational initiatives. The buyer's commission for this lot was waived.The car is built to American specifications, although bidding was available to buyers from around the world. Costs for export, import, and adaptation outside the US are borne by the new owner.After the auction, the Ferrari Luce will be returned to Maranello. Delivery of the car to the buyer is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
