The new-generation compact hatchback Suzuki Swift in the base trim managed to earn only three stars in safety crash tests. However, the version equipped with an extended set of electronic assistants managed to rise to four stars.
A similar double rating was received by the updated Nissan Micra. True, unlike the Swift, even the base modification of the Micra showed decent results in passenger protection, and the maximum five-star rating was achieved only in the most expensive version.
The second-generation Mini Countryman crossover demonstrated almost flawless protection in most tests, but lost a few points due to excessive load on the driver's chest. Nevertheless, this did not prevent the model from getting five stars.
Similar indicators were found in the Skoda Kodiaq crossover, which also scored almost the maximum number of points.
