Ukrainian BlaBlaCar users — both those who get behind the wheel and those looking for a ride — will be able to spend less on trips this summer. The ride-sharing service has agreed with one of the largest domestic fuel station chains, OKKO, on joint discounts on fuel and food. They can be used at any fuel station of the chain.

Who benefits and how

BlaBlaCar drivers are entitled to a discount of 2 to 7 UAH per liter when refueling at least 15 liters. To do this, you need to show a special barcode at the checkout, which BlaBlaCar sends to your email, and present your Fishka loyalty card. The discount consists of two parts: a permanent one — 1 or 2 UAH/l (depending on the user's rating*) and a variable one — from 1 to 5 UAH/l (this is within the OKKO promotion "Win a car or a fuel discount").

In total, for drivers refueling at least 15 liters, the following conditions apply:

  • "Newbie": one-time discount from 2 to 6 UAH/l on gasoline and diesel, from 0.5 to 2.4 UAH/l on gas.
  • "Confident", "Experienced", or "Expert": permanent discount from 2 to 6 UAH/l on gasoline and from 0.5 to 2.4 UAH/l on gas — valid all summer.
  • "Ambassador": permanent discount from 3 to 7 UAH/l on gasoline and from 1 to 2.9 UAH/l on gas, plus coffee with every refueling of 25 liters or more — also until the end of summer.

Passengers also have a reason to save thanks to the BlaBlaCar and OKKO partnership — on snacks on the road:

  • "Newbie": one-time discount of 10 UAH on a "coffee + hot dog" set.
  • "Confident", "Experienced", or "Expert": permanent discount of 10 UAH on the same set — until the end of summer.
  • "Ambassador": permanent discount of 15 UAH on "coffee + hot dog" — also until the end of summer.

The offers are valid from June 1 to August 31, 2017, throughout Ukraine.**

* Every BlaBlaCar user has their own rating — a level of experience that grows over time depending on activity. The levels go in ascending order: Newbie, Confident, Experienced, Expert, and Ambassador. The experience level reflects the user's reputation and depends on several factors:

  • verified email and phone number;
  • completed profile;
  • number and percentage of positive reviews from fellow travelers;
  • how long the person has been using the service.
