News from another world: in March, the Russian car market decided not to get off its knees — sales of new cars fell by 45%.
89 thousand passenger cars for the entire "big" country that dreams of import substitution and its own electric cars. But electric vehicles decided not to interfere — only 2,100 units were sold, and only 20% of them were "domestically produced." The rest, it seems, are from China, with birch trees just painted on the body.
It is noteworthy that at the same time in Ukraine, where, by the way, a full-scale war is ongoing, the electric car market is showing growth. In Russia, on the other hand, the share of domestic cars has increased. Because when nothing else is imported, you have to be happy with what you have — even if it's another reworked "Moskvich" with the insides of a Chinese scooter.
Briefly about the situation:
·the car market in Russia is shrinking;
·electric cars are in decline;
·imports are under restrictions;
·"patriotism on wheels" is the last hope.
