However, there is no reason to be sad: none of them were rare or collectible. As Craig Lieberman, producer and technical consultant for Fast & Furious, said on his YouTube channel Craig Lieberman, many of the cars that were destroyed during filming were either already written off or "stitched together" from parts of several old cars.

For example, the Dodge Challenger in 2 Fast 2 Furious was built from three used cars. Similarly, the Chevrolet Camaro for the same part was assembled from a number of models taken from a junkyard. At the same time, some of the wrecked cars were sold to collectors after filming, who in turn restored the cars and use them to this day (for example, this happened with the 1970 Dodge Charger).

In the video, Lieberman emphasized that in Hollywood films, several copies of the same car are often created – each serving its own purpose. In particular, the hero's car is usually filmed in close-up and remains completely intact, while stunt cars are created precisely so that they can be destroyed.
