In March, Chinese automakers produced 1.42 million cars — almost four times more than in the previous month. Sales also jumped by 361.1%, reaching 1.43 million units per month.
In the first three months of the year, the country's production volume amounted to 3.47 million vehicles, and sales — 3.67 million. These figures are lower than last year's indicators by 45.2% and 42.4%, respectively.
To accelerate the recovery of the automotive sector, Chinese authorities have introduced a set of measures. Expanded subsidies and tax relief, as well as the gradual resumption of work at dealerships, are helping the market slowly but surely recover.
