Starting June 1, Belarus raises export duties on oil and petroleum products exported outside the customs zone of the Eurasian Economic Union, which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.

For crude oil, the duty will increase from $66 to $80.6 per ton, and for gasoline — from $40.2 to $49.1 per ton. The fee for lubricating oils will also increase. According to fuel market experts, this will inevitably affect the price of Belarusian fuel in Ukraine.

Since Belarus holds a significant share in gasoline and diesel imports to Ukraine, another fuel price increase can be expected as early as June.

As of June 1, 2016, the average price of A-95 gasoline in Ukraine is 22.24 hryvnias, while A-95 premium costs 23.24 hryvnias. Diesel fuel averages 19.24 hryvnias.
