The Ukrainian government, following the example of European countries, has proposed the formation of state fuel reserves. This proposal has found support in the Ministry of Energy, the State Reserve Agency, and a number of other relevant structures.

According to analysts' estimates, the country will need about 2 million tons of oil to create the necessary reserve. In European states, the costs of forming such reserves are borne by the budget, while domestic authorities plan to compensate these costs at the expense of car owners.

If the corresponding decision is made, 40 kopecks will be added to the cost of each liter of gasoline, which will actually be charged to drivers.
