An equally striking collection was found in the garages of Mezhyhirya. Actually, why should this information surprise the public? In recent years, independent media have already published this information more than once. Or maybe no one noticed before how "our president" lives and his penchant for luxury?

Last year, Forbes Ukraine magazine already highlighted information about state budget expenditures on the so-called official fleet of the "guarantor." According to their data, the garages of the state management department contained about 385 cars. This included more than 50 Mercedes-Benz E- and S-class cars, cars of BMW, Mazda, Ford, Opel, Renault, Skoda Peugeot, Volkswagen, VAZ, GAZ, ZIL brands, as well as Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs. In 2012 alone, about 40 million hryvnias were spent on this entire "kitchen." Think about that figure. This money was spent only on maintaining the fleet of one person. Only sheikhs from wealthy oil Arab countries could afford to spend such money on vehicles. Ukraine can hardly be classified as such a state, and the president is a temporary position for which one is elected for a limited term. Most likely, Yanukovych forgot about this, deciding to completely usurp power in his hands and emphasize this with unprecedented luxury.

But these are cars on state support. The president decided to use money stolen from the state to create his own collection.

Pobedas, Volgas, Chaikas, ZIMs lined up along the entire length of a large hangar-garage.
We decided to visit the territory of Mezhyhirya and see with our own eyes whether the car collection is as valuable as fellow journalists say.

Let's say right away, we were able to get into the territory of the covered garage only thanks to our press credentials. In any case, today no one except journalists was allowed in there.

Military vehicles of World War II that were in service with both the Soviet Union and the Allies.

There are indeed many cars, but are they really priceless? Today we publish a series of photos from the scene, and tomorrow we will give a more complete report with an approximate estimate of the possible value of these cars. For now, we can say that the first thing that caught our eye was the absolutely unprofessional approach to the restoration of the vehicles. Of course, everything is done conscientiously and very high quality, but in a way that levels out historical value. In many cars, the interior is reupholstered with fabric materials that absolutely do not correspond to the era, with modern music centers, modernized with non-original parts. Each such nuance reduces the value of rarities and turns them from retro cars into replicars.
