The company's CEO Roman Shymonov said that the final decision to create production facilities in Ukraine has already been made. The enterprise plans to invest "tens of millions of dollars" in the project and provide jobs for "hundreds" of people. The plant's products are intended for supply both to the domestic market of Ukraine and to European countries.
"Ukraine inherited from the USSR a developed infrastructure, a significant part of which is idle today. You have cheap electricity, qualified personnel, established production chains that are now actively being formed, and a large number of people with higher education. When we hire Ukrainians, the difference is immediately noticeable compared to workers from regions where there are no production traditions," Shymonov noted.
Currently, the company employs 200 employees who were forced to leave Ukraine. According to the head, a significant part of these people seek to return to their homeland. Roshel plans to offer them positions at the new Ukrainian plant.
The company's main product is the Senator armored vehicle. To date, 1,140 such vehicles have been transferred to the Defense Forces. Ukraine receives this equipment both from international partners and purchases it at state expense.
