Despite the fact that the new Qashqai remained true to its style, the third generation has become more muscular, sharper and more modern. Externally, the Qashqai has become more purposeful, with more pronounced "shoulder lines", a longer wheelbase and solid 19-inch alloy wheels. The car's wheelbase has increased by 20 mm, and the total length by 35 mm. The height (25 mm) and width (32 mm) have also increased slightly.

The new Nissan Qashqai 2022 is equipped with a modern infotainment system with a first-class package of connected services, providing easy smartphone connectivity and the NissanConnect app designed to control and monitor the vehicle's systems. The wider, higher-resolution 9-inch NissanConnect display is a digital tool for navigation, entertainment and vehicle system settings, compatible with both Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay®.

The new fully electronic 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with high resolution provides various layouts for displaying navigation and entertainment information, as well as data on vehicle systems or road conditions. The display is controlled using a new switch on the steering wheel. The background of the TFT display visually resembles traditional carved Kiriko glass, as a reference to Nissan's Japanese origin.

The innovative 10.8-inch head-up display (HUD) is the largest in the segment. Key navigation information, driver assistance system data and road information are projected onto the windshield in the driver's field of view, without distracting them from the road situation, ensuring comfort and confidence behind the wheel.

Petrol engine 1.3 DiG-T

From the start of sales in Ukraine, the new Qashqai will be offered with a reliable 1.3 DiG-T petrol engine, fully compliant with the Euro6-d standard.
This power unit produces 130 hp and 150 hp, both with a 6-speed manual transmission and the new Xtronic (150 hp only). Maximum power is achieved at 5500 rpm, with maximum available torque of 250 Nm in the range of 1600 – 3750 rpm.

The improved manual transmission demonstrates faster, more direct and sportier gear changes. The new generation Xtronic automatic transmission provides lower fuel consumption and better acceleration thanks to certain improvements, including a dual lubrication system with a new electric oil pump.

2WD mode is intended for both engine versions (130 hp and 150 hp), while 4WD mode is available only for models with Xtronic (150 hp). Thanks to the new, convenient and intuitive 4WD control system and the ability to select driving modes (Normal, ECO, Sport, Snow and Off-Road), adaptation to external conditions occurs. In the event of wheel slip, the 4WD system now responds 5 times faster, in just about 0.2 seconds.

CMF-C platform

The new Qashqai is the first model in Europe to use the CMF-C vehicle platform, embodying the modern configuration of the car and its technological architecture.
The central element of the engineering concept was to preserve the current proportions of the Qashqai, which are optimal and key elements of its success – this means it moves comfortably on city roads and fits conveniently in parking lots, and also has excellent interior space.

As for the construction, a lighter material is used in the body manufacturing, as well as advanced stamping and welding methods that provide increased strength and reduced weight. The rear tailgate of the Qashqai is made of composite material for the first time, providing a weight reduction of 2.6 kg. The front and rear doors, front fenders and hood are now made of aluminum, providing a weight reduction of 21 kg compared to the previous Qashqai model.

New suspension and steering design

The new Qashqai will continue to deliver driving pleasure. Thanks to the CMF-C platform, the new Qashqai has updated McPherson multi-link suspensions at the front and rear. The power steering system has been modernized, and now it provides improved response and better feel in the central part of the steering range.

Active safety systems

The new Qashqai is equipped with modern driver assistance systems that provide greater support in a wider range of situations. These systems were designed to reduce fatigue and stress when driving, and are intuitively very easy to use.
In particular, intelligent cruise control can accelerate and brake the car within the lane on the highway. The system can accelerate the car in cruise mode at a set speed and brake it to 0 km/h in heavy stop-and-go traffic. The system can resume automatically if the car has been stationary for less than three seconds and the car ahead has started moving.

In addition, the active safety system can now prevent a maneuver if another vehicle is in the blind spot. Other updates to the active safety system include a warning of the threat of collision with objects from the side. This feature will be especially useful when entering parking lots near supermarkets. The new Qashqai can also prevent a collision while reversing, thanks to an update to the existing Moving Object Detection system, applying the brakes to stop the car if a moving obstacle is detected nearby.

Additional protection is provided by the Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking system with a warning function. Thanks to advanced radar technology, special sensors read the road conditions ahead of the car, allowing a timely response to sudden braking of a vehicle ahead. The system will apply the brakes to reduce the likelihood of a collision. The Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking system also recognizes pedestrians and cyclists and helps avoid collisions with them.

For the new Qashqai, Nissan engineers have developed an advanced headlight system that adapts the shape of the beam depending on road conditions and other road users. The beam is divided into 12 separate elements, selectively switched off when an oncoming vehicle is detected. Thanks to this innovation, the headlights can emit a brighter beam further and wider, but its shape changes effectively, so oncoming road users will not be blinded.

Prices

The starting price for the new Nissan Qashqai is UAH 697,020, and the top modification is UAH 1,127,340.
