Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is the second generation of the Tiggo 7 crossover, which debuted back in 2019. The new model differs from its predecessor in many parameters (however, it is based on the same T1X platform). Firstly, it is larger: the length of the new crossover is 4,500 mm (+68 mm), width – 1842 mm (+5 mm), height – 1705 mm (+35 mm); the wheelbase has also grown – to 2670 mm (+20 mm).
Secondly, it received a radically different design – with a new radiator grille, optics (by the way, it is fully LED), body panels, roofline, etc. Thirdly, it acquired a new interior: the classic instrument cluster was replaced by a 7-inch digital screen, and instead of the 9-inch multimedia screen, a 10.25-inch touchscreen was installed. In addition, the interior architecture changed in principle – in particular, the center console became more massive, and it was also supplemented with wireless charging for smartphones.
The trunk volume of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is 475 liters, with the rear seats folded – 1500 liters.
Chery emphasized that the Tiggo 7 Pro is adapted to harsh road and weather conditions, that is, it is ideal for Ukrainian realities. The floor base is reinforced with triple side members, the entire body is fully galvanized, and places subject to increased wear are additionally covered with plastic and composite parts.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro arrived in our country with a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 147 hp and 210 Nm, adapted to run on AI-92 gasoline. The engine is paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive. With this configuration, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 186 km/h. Combined fuel consumption is 8.2 liters.
The announced trim levels are Luxury and Premium, and even the first option (Luxury) is well-equipped: keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear-view camera, power-adjustable and heated mirrors, a “winter package” (heated steering wheel, seats, washer nozzles), etc. The Premium version adds a surround-view camera, panoramic roof, etc. to this list.
You can buy a Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in Ukraine at a price starting from 20.4 thousand dollars – that’s how much they ask for the car in the Luxury trim. In turn, Premium costs from 21.9 thousand. Also, a two-tone body paint is available for the crossover – for 800 dollars.
