Let us remind you that the luxury tax in Ukraine applies to cars that cost the equivalent of 375 minimum wages or more. Since the minimum wage increased to 6,000 hryvnias on January 1, vehicles worth from 2.25 million hryvnias are subject to taxation.
As before, cars up to 5 years old are subject to the transport tax. The amount remains unchanged – 25 thousand hryvnias, and it must be paid within 60 days after receiving the notification.
It is noteworthy that some expensive cars in Ukraine are not subject to the luxury tax. The fact is that the list of specific makes and models is approved annually by the Ministry of Economic Development, but some brands are not included in it.
For example, McLaren supercars were not included in the list, although there are already more than a dozen of them in our country. The information was officially confirmed by the State Tax Service.
