The incident was captured on video thanks to a random eyewitness and occurred in the Scottish city of Glasgow. In the British Isles, as in Ukraine, heavy snowfall is currently raging, which is why local drivers are strongly advised not to use personal transport unless absolutely necessary, and if a trip cannot be avoided, to exercise maximum caution. In particular, it is recommended to avoid potentially dangerous sections of roads where the likelihood of an accident is especially high. However, the owner of this Tesla electric car decided to test fate and drive down a steep and risky descent, for which he ultimately paid the price.
The footage shows that, upon starting to move, the car immediately began to slide uncontrollably downward — under the snow cover lay a real ice rink. The driver, in a panic, began frantically pressing the brake, which only worsened the situation and added inertia. Under the circumstances, the Scotsman should not have braked but rather descended smoothly at minimal throttle, which would have allowed him to maintain control of the car and avoid crashing into the SUV standing ahead.
However, by and large, he made a fatal mistake at the top of the hill when he even decided on this adventure.
By the way, the troubles on this section were not limited to the Tesla — according to eyewitnesses, several other cars also crashed into that very SUV.
