At the moment, the average cost of autogas in Ukraine is 13.76 UAH/l. In wholesale, fuel at auctions has risen to 23,500 hryvnias per ton as of February 4.

The main reason for the price increase is a gas shortage on the market: in January, its supplies significantly decreased. And now, according to analyst Artem Kuyun of the Consulting Group A-95, there is high demand for this type of fuel in Poland, where it is used for heating premises.

Since this year's winter turned out to be frosty, Poland began to buy more liquefied gas, which raised prices on the market. Also, in Europe, petrochemical industry enterprises have become more active in using blue fuel.

Thus, since gas reserves in Ukraine are small, there is potential for prices to rise to 15 UAH/l and higher, and in western regions – up to 16 UAH/l (the cost of gas includes a high share of transportation costs) in the near future.
