As a Kyiv resident told the TSN TV channel, in 2017 he left his car on the roadside because he felt unwell. And when he returned, the car was gone without a trace. Viktor filed a report with the police, after which law enforcement officers inspected the surrounding areas, but this yielded no results.

And then in 2021, when the owner had fully come to terms with the loss, he accidentally found his ZAZ in online classifieds. Surprisingly, the website indicated that the car was not listed as stolen and, moreover, it had the same license plates as in 2017 at the time of the theft.

After that, the sedan's owner visited the ad's author with the police – he was in the Zhytomyr region. During the investigative actions, it turned out that the car was sold by the head of a local municipal enterprise, who had received it from his relative residing in Boryspil, Kyiv region. The seller assured that he did not know that the Sens had been stolen.
According to Viktor Zhytniy, over four years the car's lights were "modified," the mileage increased by several tens of thousands of kilometers, and traces of accident damage appeared. However, overall he is pleased that the Sens was recovered and now plans to install a good alarm system on it. However, the car will remain with the police for some time as evidence.
