Such cars look no different from civilian ones, except for hidden flashing lights and a siren. The TSN TV channel learned the details about the unusual police cars and reported on them in its video story on YouTube.

All Skoda Kodiaq crossovers are painted dark gray. A pair of red and blue flashing lights are installed at the front and rear - they become noticeable only when turned on. So far there are only four such cars, but next year their number is promised to be increased to 150. And in total, over the next three years, 300 hidden patrols should appear on Ukrainian highways.
The task of the patrol inspectors themselves will be reduced only to stopping the violator and handing him a protocol. Everything else is done by the equipment installed inside the cars - the Phantom violation recording system. It consists of four cameras that record violations when moving in the same and opposite directions, a control unit, a tablet, and a printer.

The patrol Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-liter engine, whose power, in theory, should be enough to catch up with the pursued vehicle and force it to stop at the roadside (the exact specification of the police crossovers' engines is not specified).
The main priority in the work of phantom patrols will be catching drivers who exceed the speed limit. In addition, the systems will automatically check cars against search registries, in particular, identifying clone cars and vehicles that are wanted by the police and the State Executive Service.
It should be noted that the price of the Skoda Kodiaq in Ukraine starts from $28.6 thousand. The batch of crossovers for the police cost $132.6 thousand.
