Thus, the positive market dynamics observed in summer compared to last year's indicators have again given way to a decline. Demand for passenger cars relative to September 2017 decreased by almost 14 percent.

In addition, compared to the previous month, the number of new car registrations decreased by 8 percent.

The leader of September was Toyota. The Japanese brand topped the ranking with a result of 918 cars sold. At the same time, compared to last year, the company's September figure fell by almost 20 percent.

The second position was taken by Renault with 697 cars sold. Demand for models of this brand decreased by 2 percent.

Ukrainian buyers gave third place to Volkswagen, choosing 501 new cars of the German brand. At the same time, Volkswagen lagged behind its last year's result by more than a third (minus 34 percent).

The fourth line went to KIA — 436 cars (minus 5 percent to September 2017).

The top five is closed by another representative of the Korean auto industry — Hyundai, which registered 407 new passenger cars, which is 2 percent more than a year earlier.

The top ten best-selling brands of September also included: Nissan — 402 units (minus 9%); Skoda — 373 units (minus 37%); Mazda — 326 units (plus 12%); Suzuki — 257 units (plus 13%); Mitsubishi — 234 units (plus 54%).

The most popular model of the month was Renault Duster with 307 registrations.

In total, over three quarters of the current year, 60.3 thousand new passenger cars received their first registration numbers in Ukraine, which is 4 percent more than in the same period last year.
