In large retail chains of gas filling stations, there is a noticeable reduction in the price of autogas: companies AMIC, KLO, WOG, Shell, Marshal, BRSM-Nafta, Rod-Nik, Tatneft, SOCAR and others have adjusted fuel prices. Depending on the region, the price reduction ranged from 3 to 45 kopecks per liter.
As previously reported, at the latest Ukrnafta auctions, structures of the Privat group purchased gas at a price of 14,000 UAH per ton, which is equivalent to approximately 7.70 UAH per liter. In the Kyiv region, all major operators reduced the price by 10–30 kopecks per liter, setting the price tag at 11.49–11.69 UAH per liter.
The Bars 2000 network at its operating stations in the capital lowered prices to 11.20 UAH per liter. At the company's stations in the Kyiv region, fuel became cheaper to 10.96 UAH per liter. Avantazh 7 keeps the price in Kyiv at 10.95 UAH per liter.
Even with the introduction of restrictions on the export of liquefied gas from Russia in May, the Ukrainian market experienced a surplus of the resource. This triggered a drop in quotes on the border with Poland and a sharp decline in wholesale prices. The retail segment did not fully manage to react to the cheaper wholesale prices — operators feared the consequences of Russian restrictions and a possible fuel shortage on the market as early as the beginning of June.
