Sergey Kreimer, who holds the post of Chief Operating Officer at WISEMAN ROSE LLP, spoke about this on his Facebook page.

Using loopholes in the laws, cars were brought into the territory of Ukraine, and their owners managed to avoid paying significant customs fees. In this regard, tax inspectors will take to the streets together with police officers. Those who violate the current rules face large fines or even criminal liability. According to unofficial information, the SFS is currently forming a list of vehicles that were imported into Ukraine under the temporary import scheme, starting from January 1, 2007.

"All cars that have exceeded the customs regime period by more than 48 hours will be put on the wanted list. From November 1, 2016, it is planned to introduce a system of automatic analysis of such regimes, and the submission to the wanted list will be carried out automatically. Clear leaders from Bulgaria and Lithuania are already visible, having registered more than 2000 cars per legal entity. The highest indicator is for a Lithuanian company that registered over 3800 cars in the temporary import regime," shared Sergey Kreimer.
