In 2015-2016, we already invested significant funds in modernizing our communication infrastructure. Thanks to this, we managed to achieve high data transfer speeds and uninterrupted signal even at those gas stations located on highways far from large populated areas," says OKKO network IT Director Oleksandr Lyashenko.
One of the largest projects in this area was the agreement signed last year with Ukrtelecom to provide OKKO gas stations with the most modern and reliable fiber-optic communication channels. Under this agreement, it is planned to bring such channels to 200 gas stations, with 90 of them already in operation. First of all, innovations cover those facilities where other types of communication did not provide adequate signal quality.
For the convenience of OKKO customers, to connect to Wi-Fi, no passwords or logins are needed. The user can enter the network in one of two ways – by viewing a brief information message on the portal, or through their own Facebook account. The staff of all gas stations in the network are thoroughly instructed on how to help customers in case of any difficulties with Wi-Fi access.
