Starting tomorrow, electronic waybills that will accompany the sale of fuel come into effect. As reported by the State Fiscal Service, this measure, introduced for market participants, will allow real-time accounting of every liter sold. The pilot launch of the system is scheduled for March, and from April its use will become mandatory.

What is the essence of the innovation? Everything is quite transparent: thanks to electronic waybills, gas station networks and individual filling stations will not be able to sell volumes of fuel exceeding those officially purchased. Thus, attempts to profit from "diluting" gasoline with additives and chemical admixtures will be immediately detected.

The fiscal service is confident that electronic control over fuel purchases and sales will not only contribute to improving the quality of gasoline at gas stations, but also ensure additional revenues to the treasury — according to preliminary estimates, about 2 billion hryvnias. At the same time, experts note that currently in our country the "shadow" market of petroleum products and gray schemes for mixing and selling fuel are still actively functioning.

During March, the new system will operate in test mode, and from April electronic waybills will be mandatory for all market players.
