New uniforms for the capital's patrol police officers will cost about $700 per set, and their design will resemble the equipment of New York police officers.

This information was announced by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Eka Zguladze during a meeting with candidates who successfully passed the selection for the new units.

The set, as Zguladze noted, will include two pairs of trousers and shirts, several variants of headgear, a universal all-season jacket, and footwear. She also reminded that the previous purchase of uniforms for the militia, conducted two years ago, was significantly more expensive — $1,400 per set.
