Yesterday, prices at WOG gas stations and some other filling stations increased by 1 hryvnia. Today, in fact, almost all oil traders changed their price tags.

Some gas station chains adjusted prices gradually (over 2-3 days), but there are also those that raised them in one day. But the saddest thing is that the sharp rise in fuel prices may be prolonged. Not all fuel market experts dare to say exactly at what level the fuel price increase will stop.

As analysts of the Consulting Group A-95 note, if in January 2014 the cost of A-95 gasoline was 11.3 UAH/l or $1.38/l at an exchange rate of 8.20/$1, today it is already 18.0-18.50 UAH/l or about $0.9-0.92/l at an exchange rate of 20 UAH/$1. Thus, the price decrease since the beginning of the year has been about 35%, which fully corresponds to the decrease in gasoline quotations on the European market over this period – by 36% (from $926/t to $589/t).
