It is reported that this Zaporozhets had a rather sad history. The car was unwanted and rusted in the open air. And in the end, it was taken on for a rather ambitious project.

From the original ZAZ, in fact, only the body remained, and not even all of it – the front part was cut off, and a unique custom frame was built instead. This was done so that a large engine could fit into the car – namely, a tractor engine, a four-stroke diesel engine D144 with air cooling, which was widely installed in the last century on Soviet special equipment.

In addition, the power unit was supplemented with a turbine – to increase power. Another feature is the exhaust pipe, which rises high up. The gearbox for the ZAZ hot rod was installed from the Soviet truck GAZ-53, and the rear axle, to which traction is transmitted, from the passenger car GAZ-24 "Volga". Also, air suspension was installed on the car.

Among other features of the Zaporozhets are alloy wheels on large tires, a soft top, a classic massive radiator grille, and round headlights.
