The American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has presented its traditional list of the safest cars. It includes 48 models from various brands. Specialists took into account crash test results and the availability of modern assistants: automatic braking, autonomous driving systems, and others.

The leader of the ranking is Toyota, which took nine spots. In second place is Honda with eight cars. Volkswagen closes the top three with five models. Among American manufacturers, only one representative made it to the list — the Chrysler 200.
