A new world record was set when the speed of a drifting Nissan GT-R, specially modified for sliding, reached 304.96 km/h, with a drift angle of 30 degrees.

Japanese drifter Masato Kawabata, champion of the D1 Grand Prix series, surpassed the previous achievement of Pole Jakub Przygonski.

It is worth noting that the 2016 Nissan GT-R for this record was prepared by GReddy Trust with the participation of NISMO specialists. The car's power increased to 1380 hp, and the thrust vector was fully transferred to the rear axle.
