According to Nokian Tyres Technical Director Matti Morri, each of the new models is the result of years of searching for the best solutions for safe and comfortable driving.

What is also important is that the Finnish company has significantly improved tire durability, which is especially relevant and important for Ukrainian consumers. In addition to bench tests, when testing new tires for wear resistance, the Finnish manufacturer involves taxi drivers. Such testing in real conditions allows the most objective assessment of tire durability.

Nokian Hakka Green 2

One of the key new products of the summer season 2016 is the Nokian Hakka Green 2 tire, designed for small and medium-sized cars. The second generation of the Green series has better wear resistance (15% higher than the previous model), which is important when driving on "excellent" Ukrainian roads. In addition, the new tires reduce fuel consumption, which is even more important given fuel prices. Another important aspect is that Nokian Hakka Green 2 provides balanced handling on wet road surfaces.

As M. Morri emphasized, the concept of safe driving is implemented here at several levels. Its basis is the unique properties of the Nokian Hakka Green Hybrid rubber compound. The combination of silica, natural pine and rapeseed oils, and fine carbon black particles is highly elastic. This allows the tire to adapt not only to the road situation and air temperature, but also to the individual driving style.

The new tire uses Nokian Tyres Coanda technology, the essence of which is the curved arc-shaped tread block profile on the inner shoulder of the tire – this know-how accelerates water evacuation and significantly reduces braking distance in rainy weather. As for fuel savings, it reaches 0.6 liters per 100 km (the difference between class A and G indicators).

It is worth mentioning separately the ultra-strong steel cord – it is formed from intertwined steel filaments coated with brass (from 90 to 110 of them per every 10 cm!). The diameter of one filament is only 0.25 mm, but its strength margin is enough to tow a passenger car. The strength of the steel cord of the new tire is more than 15% higher than that of the previous model.

"For over 80 years, Nokian Tyres has remained committed to the principles of safe driving. And today we are pleased to present to Ukrainian motorists our new reliable tires, in which we have embodied the latest achievements of the tire industry", says Matti Morri, who has been working at the Finnish company for over 25 years!

Nokian Nordman SZ

According to the technical director, not only Ukraine is experiencing a crisis today, so this year Nokian Tyres released the first affordable tires for fans of a sporty driving style. The new Nordman SZ tires have a multi-layer tread structure that provides an optimal steering feel and exceptional control precision at high speed.

In turn, a more elastic layer of rubber compound in the central part of the tread ensures a quick tire response to steering maneuvers. The rigid outer shoulder zone controls handling when cornering, changing lanes, and overtaking. The inner shoulder zone has a more open design. Narrow directional grooves remove water from the tire's contact patch, preventing the risk of aquaplaning. At the same time, the powerful tire produces almost no noise even on coarse-grained asphalt. In Ukraine, the Nokian Nordman SZ is available in sizes from 16 to 18 inches and with speed ratings V (240 km/h) and W (270 km/h).

Nokian Hakka C2

Matti Morri also highlighted the advantages of the commercial tire Nokian Hakka C2. This is the optimal choice for light trucks and minibuses. The steel belt package of the tire is optimized specifically for intensive use and maximum loads. The special rubber compound of the bead wears less, which increases the tire's service life.

The Aqua Grip C tread compound guarantees increased wear resistance and low rolling resistance, and therefore reduced fuel consumption. The Aqua Resistance concept minimizes the risk of aquaplaning.

Extended Hakka warranty

The Nokian Tyres concern provides a unique service for buyers of Nokian tires – the Extended Hakka warranty. The warranty is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase of tires at the Vianor network. In case of unintentional tire damage, the consumer has the right to repair or replace it with a new one completely free of charge at any Vianor tire center.
