The SIXT UKRAINE crew, the only representative of the country in the competition, finished the Faraons Rally-Raid World Cup stage in Egypt on October 8 in second place overall and first in the T1.1 class, where production cars with petrol engines compete.

In addition, the World Cup performance brought the team and its leader several other significant achievements. Driver Vadym Nesterchuk entered the top ten in the overall drivers' standings according to the 2011 FIA classification. Thus, the Ukrainian racer for the first time found himself on the list of the world's best athletes in his class.

The desert marathon lasted from October 3 to 8. The world's strongest racers took part in it. In total, 76 motorcyclists and quad riders, 26 crews in cars and trucks, as well as 9 participants in the 'Raid' category started. The competition brought together representatives from 21 countries. The sports program included six speed stages, with a total route length of 2,600 kilometers, of which 2,250 kilometers were counted.

SIXT UKRAINE leader Vadym Nesterchuk was satisfied with the race results. 'We waited for this moment, it came on the sixth day, and we used it fully, overtaking two main rivals. After fourth place at the Silk Way Rally, second place at the Pharaohs Rally, which is distinguished by its difficulty and interest, is a worthy result for our team. It strengthens our self-belief. I think we are capable of finishing in the top ten at the Dakar and winning the World Cup in the T2 'production cars' category next season,' noted Vadym Nesterchuk.
