In Kyiv, temporary traffic restrictions have been introduced on 55 streets during icy conditions. As reported by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Kostiantyn Usov, specialists from the Traffic Organization Center placed signs 3.2 there, prohibiting the movement of mechanical vehicles, supplemented with plates 7.12 indicating ice. When ice forms on the roads, entry into the zones of these signs will be closed.
The official explained that according to traffic rules, the prohibition does not apply to buses following routes, trolleybuses, and taxis operating on established lines with fixed stops. An exception is also made for cars driven by people with disabilities and vehicles transporting such passengers.
Usov added that drivers with disabilities, as well as those who live, work, or service enterprises within the specified zone, have the right to enter under the sign but must leave it at the nearest intersection in the direction of their destination.
Additionally, according to his data, warning signs 1.13 informing about slippery roads were installed on 74 streets of the capital.
