Let us remind you that earlier the Municipal Enterprise "Traffic Management Center" reported that due to increased accident rates, the 50 km/h limit would remain in Kyiv. But now the First Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration, Mykola Povoroznyk, reported that due to public resonance, it was decided to set a limit of 80 km/h on seven road sections:

- Shukhevych Ave. (from the Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge to Balzaka St.);

- Naberezhno-Rybalska St. (from the Havanskyi (Harbor) Bridge to Elektrykiv St.);

- Naddniprianske Highway;

- Naberezhne Highway (from Poshtova Square to Naddniprianske Highway);

- Stolychne Highway (to Akademika Zabolotnoho St.);

- Saperno-Slobodska St. (from Hrinchenka St. to the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge);

- Bazhana St. (from the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge to Kharkivska Square).

It should be noted that this is not an April Fools' joke: 80 km/h speed limit signs have already appeared on these road sections.
