As local media report, the incident occurred last weekend. Over four dozen powerful cars took to the city's roads early Sunday morning and kept residents awake. However, the joyride did not last long: law enforcement officers "cracked down" on the street racers, even having to block several traffic lanes to do so.

All cars were detained in one group. Among the vehicles visible in the video below are supercars such as Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Porsche. In addition to fines for illegal racing, law enforcement towed a Nissan GT-R on suspicion of illegal tuning, and nine other cars were banned from driving until an authorized technical inspection is conducted to check for unauthorized modifications to the vehicle's structure.
Incidentally, street racing in Hong Kong has long been commonplace, but recently its frequency has sharply increased. For instance, in 2019, 99 violations were recorded, while in the first 11 months of 2020, there were already 139 (+40).
