At the moment, only one automatic violation recording camera is operating in test mode — in Kyiv, at 36 Druzhby Narodiv Boulevard. However, even in one day of operation, it recorded 385 violations.
Let us remind you that driving into a dedicated lane for public transport entails a fine of 510 hryvnias. Thus, the state budget of Ukraine could receive 196,350 hryvnias. However, if drivers pay the fine within ten days, they are entitled to a 50% discount.
It is worth noting that the camera on Druzhby Narodiv Boulevard was installed back in December, and initially it operated in test mode — no penalty receipts were issued. During that period, the device recorded about 1,000 violators daily, which indicates that drivers have become noticeably more disciplined.
By the way, soon the number of auto-recording cameras on Ukrainian roads will significantly increase — it is planned to install more than 200 such devices.
