Financial fraud that led to the embezzlement of funds totaling over UAH 1,500,000 was discovered by specialists of the State Financial Inspection in the Khmelnytskyi region during an audit of the financial and economic activities of the Road Service in the Khmelnytskyi region.
In particular, officials of the service paid private entrepreneurs UAH 963,000 for road and street repairs that they did not perform and did not return the money.
In addition, the service paid UAH 371,000 for services related to the registration of rights to land plots. After the audit, it turned out that the amount was significantly overstated.
Also, the service did not charge penalties of more than UAH 70,000 to a private entity that did not carry out the work according to the contract.
The audit materials were transferred to the relevant law enforcement agencies.
