This campaign is being conducted due to the detection of malfunctions in the operation of airbags. Incorrect operation of the relevant systems was found in VW Golf, Passat, Jetta and Tiguan models, 2010 – 2014 years of manufacture.
As reported by the company's representative office, specialists identified a defect due to which airbags do not deploy in an accident. At the same time, it was noted that in real cases of road accidents, no cases of airbag non-deployment were recorded.
Currently, engineers are testing other models for the presence of malfunctions in the safety system.
