The statement says: “This year, 1.35 billion hryvnias have been allocated for pothole repair of roads. We want these funds to be used as efficiently as possible. Therefore, to avoid negligent attitude of relevant services and to strengthen control over the performance of pothole repair works, the Ministry of Infrastructure invites each of you to cooperate.

Given your concern and constant interest in the effectiveness of the Ministry's work, we suggest that you, as taxpayers, act as an additional control link and inform us about improper attitude to the performance of repair works to eliminate potholes on roads of state and local importance in Ukraine. Please note that we are talking specifically about highways and roads that run outside populated areas. Local authorities are responsible for municipal streets and roads in cities, villages, and towns.”

What exactly should conscientious citizens report? In principle, not only about bad roads, but also about violations of rules and norms for repair works: road repairs without fencing off work sites and warning drivers, performing repair works in rainy weather. During repair works, an engineering and technical worker must be present who must monitor compliance with technological requirements, in accordance with the technological map or other regulatory documents.

To record violations, photo and video recording can be made. They should be accompanied by a written description and coordinates of the work site. All materials are accepted at the email address: [email protected].

As stated in the address of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine: “Tell your friends and acquaintances about this. If each of us becomes part of the control system, very soon we will have good roads and a responsible attitude to every kopeck spent on their repair.”
