The gathering point for the action participants is near the Nyvky metro station.
They reported the following: "For six months now, residents of the Halahany neighborhood have been fighting against illegal construction right under their windows, namely at 71-A Peremohy Avenue."
Residents of the neighborhood decided to resort to such radical actions in order to draw the attention of the city's public, the capital's authorities, and law enforcement agencies to their problem – a gross violation of the law and disregard for the opinion of local residents.
