According to Yandex service data, the traffic situation in the capital has noticeably improved: the number of congestion jams has decreased almost sevenfold compared to spring indicators.
Analysis of statistics for April–June shows that during this period, seven-point traffic jams were recorded only three times, and eight-point jams only once. Last year, the picture was far less optimistic: over the same period, there were about 28 days with 7–8 point congestion, and for three days roads were completely jammed at 9 points.
Experts attribute such a significant reduction in road congestion not only to the summer season and vacations. One of the key factors is the rise in fuel prices. In addition, the reduction in real incomes of the population, if calculated in dollar terms, played its role. There's no arguing with that.
