The infrastructure ministry reported the scale of destruction: in the Luhansk region, 705 km of road surface was damaged, while in the Donetsk region — 298 km.

Infrastructure Minister Maksym Burbak noted on July 8 that the cost of restoring highways increases every day due to the actions of separatists. To date, it has reached half a billion hryvnias.

Additional complications are caused by mined areas: because of them, it is impossible to accurately determine the extent of damage and begin repair work.
