The press service of the State Automobile Inspectorate reported that one often has to observe the following picture: a car is driving in the left lane at a low speed while the right lane is completely free, and this causes justified dissatisfaction among other drivers.
Soon, inspectors will begin purposefully looking for exactly such drivers who prefer to drive slowly in the left lane.
“Vehicles of operational and special services — medics, firefighters, rescuers, police — often travel in the left lane. And every lost minute in the movement of such a vehicle can turn into someone's health or life,” emphasized the head of the Department of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anatoliy Sirenko.
It is worth recalling that for non-compliance with the rules of vehicle positioning on the road, Ukrainian legislation provides for a fine ranging from 425 to 510 hryvnias.
