It is not yet known which specific models are being referred to. However, there is information that the first Audi with fiberglass springs will appear very soon – in the fall of 2014.

According to the German company, fiberglass springs are 40% lighter than steel counterparts and weigh about one and a half kilograms. In addition to being lighter, such springs are thicker and have fewer coils compared to traditional counterparts.

It is logical that they are also not susceptible to corrosion. Let us remind you that last week AvtoPortal reported on the war between Audi and BMW over laser headlights.
