From June 16, 2014, "Cobra" will monitor the safety of passenger transportation in Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi region. In particular, it concerns carriers.
The traffic police special forces will control their compliance with traffic rules, the serviceability of vehicles, and the availability of documents necessary for passenger transportation.
In addition, "Cobra" was tasked with controlling the transportation of organized groups of children to summer camps and escorting buses with young passengers. Another function assigned to the special traffic police unit is the identification and inspection of un-customs-cleared cars.
