A three-level transport interchange is planned for Shulyavka, which should solve the problem of this congested section. Work is scheduled to start this year, and completion, with regular funding, is expected in a year and a half to two years. During reconstruction, a complete closure of traffic is not planned.
The exact cost has not yet been announced, but according to the authors' estimates, it will be about 300 million hryvnias. This is noticeably more modest than in the earlier project by the KyivdorMostProekt institute, which involved demolishing workshop No. 5 of the Bolshevik plant. In the new version, only part of the building is subject to dismantling, which provides significant cost savings.

The existing overpass, built back in 1968, will be completely dismantled. After several fires, its load-bearing characteristics raise serious doubts among specialists.
The new overpass structure will have four lanes in each direction. This will increase capacity and reduce the risk of congestion. The main advantage is a simple and logical traffic scheme that will not cause difficulties for drivers.

It is pleasing that the project authors also considered cyclists—they will have separate paths that avoid crossing with automobile traffic.
One can only hope that builders will not delay the work, as any restrictions on Shulyavka could paralyze traffic in the city.
