Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on the construction of such a facility have been ongoing for a long time, and initially the bridge was planned to be built for Euro 2012. Now Moscow has decided to urgently revive this project.
In particular, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev issued an urgent order to begin construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait.
How quickly Russia will be able to implement its plans, and whether it has enough strength for this project, is still unclear. The estimated cost of construction is estimated at 3-5 billion dollars. On the other hand, the route from Kherson to Novorossiysk will be shortened by 450 km.
