Maybe Google was in a hurry, but there can be no objections to this. The official decision on renaming has already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada and should serve as a reminder to everyone walking or driving to the government quarter from Independence Square of the price at which freedom was won for the Ukrainian people.
Moreover, such renaming on the electronic map also makes sense because the Maidan activists, without waiting for the VR decision, have already started pasting stickers with the name "Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred Street" on the signs on Instytutska. Such streets are also appearing in other cities of Ukraine.
Another popular service, Yandex, has not yet responded to the change of the name of Instytutska Street.
