Yes, the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine is going to hold a tender among companies engaged in road certification. The road agency plans to order the creation of a three-dimensional map of Ukrainian highways, which will become the basis of the newest Geographic Information System (GIS) and will be available to everyone.
According to Ukravtodor's idea, every highway in Ukraine will receive a passport containing all information about the length, width, number and depth of potholes, quality of the road surface, materials from which the roads are built, and what road objects are located on them.
It was planned to "find" 85 million UAH to finance these works. However, this money should be enough only for 1/10 of all roads in Ukraine. The implementation of this project today raises big doubts, as the plans of the new Cabinet of Ministers are total savings of budget funds at all levels of the ministry.
