Volkswagen ID.3 is currently a scarce car. Its production only started in autumn 2020, and in the EU there are huge queues for the car months in advance, so it is not yet officially supplied to the Ukrainian market. This particular unit was delivered to our country on order.
The first Volkswagen ID.3 in Ukraine is a hatchback in the Pro Performance version. It is equipped with a 204-horsepower (301 Nm) engine and a battery with a useful capacity of 58 kWh. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h for such a hatch takes 7.3 seconds, top speed is 160 km/h.
The official range of the Volkswagen ID.3 Pro Performance is 420 km according to the WLTP cycle, real – about 350 km. However, the absolute record for range on a single charge, which belongs to this hatchback, is 531 km. That is exactly how much professional road traveler Felix Egolf managed to drive in August 2020 as part of a run along the route Zwickau (Germany) — Schaffhausen (Switzerland). To cover the maximum distance without "refueling", various techniques for reducing energy consumption were used (for example, coasting), and yet such a result is still very impressive.
